Most of the people in Madagascar are Malagasy. The origin of the language Malagasy is Indonesian. Malagasy is written in the Latin alphabet. Also people speak french there too.

About two fifths of the population practice the traditional religion based on their ancestors. About half the population is christian and a small part is Roman Catholic.

They make this recipe their own way and like add there own spices etc. The people in Madagascar like to eat rice with their foods to.They have different ways of making rice like dry, wet, and irrigated rice. Also cattle is spread through out the island.Some of the animals are pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, duck. One of the most famous dishes in Madagascar is there seafood with amazing seasonings.
Festivals and Holidays
Alahamadi Be-This holiday is a celebration and people go out into the street and their are crowds of people.They have music and dances with decorations and lights all around with family, friends and people visiting with each other. Gasytsara is a music festival for the people in Madagascar and is in the capital Antananarivo.They also celebrate new years day and Easter. Along with Independence day on June 26 and labor day May 1. Madajazzcar is a festival that is held n October for 2 weeks and celebrates jazz.
